Use cases

Migrate from another tool

Requests, votes, voters and comments come over with their dates. Re-run any time.

Import from Upvoty, Canny, CSV, XLSX or a TheyAsked backup. Posts keep votes, voters, comments and dates; re-running never creates duplicates.

Set it up

  1. Pick the source

    Upvoty (Connect, API key or CSV export with comments), Canny’s CSV, any CSV or XLSX, or a TheyAsked backup. New workspaces are asked right after sign-up.

    Settings → Import

  2. Preview and map

    A dry run shows the counts and how statuses and boards map before anything is written.

  3. Run it, then run it again

    It runs in the background and resumes after a reload. Re-running updates what it imported and never duplicates, so sync once more on cut-over day.

  4. Switch the widget and old links

    Replace the old widget with one script tag and redirect your old portal domain. Upvoty-style SSO tokens keep working.

    TheyAsked('init', { workspace: 'northwind' });
